TP Mishra

TP Mishra is a journalist, editor, and freelancer dedicated to documenting the Bhutanese refugee crisis, human rights, and the state of freedom of speech in Bhutan. Through his extensive investigative reporting, he has consistently shed light on complex geopolitical issues and systemic human rights challenges. Beginning his career in "exiled journalism" in 2002, he served as a founding member and Chief Editor of the Bhutan News Service and led The Bhutan Reporter. His work has been featured in major international outlets including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Al Jazeera, BBC, The Diplomat, Global Post, and Himal Southasian, alongside contributions to Media Helping Media. As the author of Becoming a Journalist in Exile, Mishra continues to advocate for ethical media standards and the visibility of displaced populations.
